Sture Brishammar
Founder Member. Graduated in Biochemistry, Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Has enjoyed a distinguished career at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences: 1975, Associate professor in biochemistry, SLU; 1977, Professor in Virology, SLU; 1979-present, research (virology and biochemical phytopathology) and at Uppsala University, 2002-present; 1996-99, Deputy Director, SLU. Chairman of Swedish Biopathology. Councillor of the International Society of Plant Pathology. Councillor of the European Federation of Plant Pathology. Has published over 60 scientific papers.

Elena Dingu-Kyrklund
Academic Member. MA in Philology, MA in International Relations, Master of European and Comparative Law, Master in Social Anthropology. Main fields: Immigration studies and policies. 1995-present, Researcher, Centre for Research in International Migration and Ethnic Relations, CEIFO, University of Stockholm; 2000, Project leader, jurist/lawyer, National Council for Crime Prevention Centre. Between 1979 and 1995, she had various appointments as interpreter, translator, professional trainer, and teacher of foreign languages.

Kjerstin Ericsson
Founder Member. BSc degrees in Psychology, Ethnology and Administration Health & Caring; MSc in Psychology and Sociology; PhD in Psychology. Main fields: Long-term care, geriatrics and nursing development. 1976-92, Clinical dept. supervisor, County Council North-East; 1987-92, Researcher, Gero Psychiatric Dementia Investigation Unit, St. George's Hospital; 1988-98, Researcher, Stockholm Gerontology Research Centre; 1988-present, Head of Nursing Development, Huddinge Geriatric Clinic; 1998-present, Associate Professor, Division of Geriatric Medicine, Huddinge University Hospital.

Ralph Lundsten
Founder Member. Main fields: Music composition and film-making. Career: Over 600 opus and 91 records, 12 short films, art exhibitions. Work for the Opera House in Stockholm and Oslo, the Modern and National Museums in Stockholm, the Louvre and the Biennale in Paris, the Triennale in Milan, and the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York. Special portrait exhibitions at the Music Museum in Stockholm 1991-92 and 2000. Owner since 1959 of Sweden's most famous picture and electronic music studio: Andromeda. Composed The Symphony of Joy for the UN's 50th anniversary 1995.

Kari Juhani Mikkola
Founder Member. Process-operator at Smurfit Aspa Bruk AB. Teacher for the Church minors, juniors, Youth Group Kyrkans Ungdom and elder care, 1978. Teachers' assistant at the ekeby day-care and pre-school, and elder care at the service house "Nickkällan" in Karlskoga. Co-worker with the Bible translation committee at the Folk-High School in Karlskoga in 1983. Member American Association for the Advancement of Science, New York Academy of Sciences, Nordic Association for British and American Studies, Scandinavian Association for American Studies.
